Minimum
requirements
Any Windows operating system, Windows 98 or later.
1 gigabyte free disk space [for optimum operations.] This
is essential  if
you are backing up large files.
IE Version 4
68Mb RAM
Any processor will run the service. We recommend Pentium
processors.
Setting up an account
1. Online registration – Select your user name and password.
2. Receive email link to software pre-configured with your
user name
and
password
3. Select your service level and validate credit card payment.
4. Select directories and the time your backup will occur.
Backing up over a network
PCFort is not designed to back up external disk drives.
Firewalls
Personal firewalls will show a warning when PCFort attempts
to do a backup. You will need to allow this traffic for backups
to work.
Software updates
The Internet is a changing environment and we run an active
security program. Periodically it will be necessary to perform
security and service upgrades to your PCFort account. If an
upgrade is available, an upgrade link will appear on the daily
backup report. |
